Under the lively shade

We were one mass

Moving with the rhythms

Of that idyll beach

Soft as sand bleached white

From the blazing sun

We sat motionless

Cool as the summer breeze

We were one soul

Indivisible like the moon

And as that orb disappeared

So did we

Our love could not stand the tides

Their onslaught carving us apart

A cacophony of thundering waves

But in that moment

We were one being

Life began and ended with that moon

Not with regret but with love

Do I remember you

Not with fear but with hope

Do I miss you

For in that summer we leapt into eternity

Our souls delved into each other

And we, my love, became infinite
